Greetings podcast listeners! The Cherry Spitz Podcast is back this week in a return to it’s original form that was created accidentally!

Cherry Spitz’s resident geezer Lars and resident boy Matt sit down as Lars cranks about his work woes and Matt discusses a new comedy strategy that is gaining popularity. Matt reads an excerpt from a Simpsons Holocaust fanfiction and the guys perform one of Lars’ student scripts, a Greek Tragedy titled “Michael Jackson”.
Strap in, this one’s a doozy!

Over the weekend, Cherry Spitz (James, Matt, Kat, Amber, and Shaun) competed in the Long Beach Playhouse‘s Comedy Batte Royale. Night 1 we faced and defeated Danger Pants to move on to day 2, while the other battle between Comedy Kaze and The Upperclassmen resulted in the victory of the latter. That’s right, day 2 was an epic battle between The Upperclassmen and Cherry Spitz. Old friends AND foes! The battle was very close, resulting in a head to head, one on one battle between The Upperclassmen’s James and our very own Kat which ended in a Spitz Victory!
The Cherry Spitz, now $200 less in debt, would like to thank all who came out to support us, The Upperclassmen for being such great and worthy opponents, and The Long Beach Playhouse for hosting this fantastic comedy battle.
For more Cherry Spitz vs The Upperclassmen goodness, come see us on May 5th at the Long Beach Playhouse in Comedy Gold! Spitz will be doing improv while The Upperclassmen will be performing sketches. It’s going to be fun!
Until next time, true believers!
It’s a heafty episode of The Cherry Spitz Podcast as Erik goes backstage at STAGEStheater in Fullerton with Daniel Conder, Cassi Jerkins, Brother Daniel, Josh Nicols and a very surly Kat Shea. The List has dominated the OC Cagematch and we get them fresh off another win. Then we’re whisked away, BACK to Thundergoat Studios for some chit-chat with Mitt-Matt Apodaca. There’s some gross stories exchanged and then some cents are slung on how they feel about their UCB improv training thus far.

Puppet Cheer! It’s another episode of the Cherry Spitz Podcast! We’ve gone mobile again, as Erik and a late-arriving James sit down with Cassi Jerkins (of Puppet Mayhem!), Roberto Ferreras (of Ghostlight!) and Michael Rosenbaum (of both Puppet Mayhem & Ghostlight!) The conversation goes many places, but eventually touches up on a bit of a scandal that broke out last week which is put into proper context by a slight detour with Matt Apodaca and Leonard Linguini (both of Puppet Mayhem!)
